UNITED STATES SENATOR SHELLEY MOORE CAPITO WILL BE HOSTING “2016 ACADEMY DAY” FOR ALL THOSE STUDENTS & PARENTS INTERESTED IN TRYING TO SECURE A NOMINATION TO ANY OF THE SERVICE ACADEMIES INCLUDING: THE U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, U.S. MERCHANT MARINE ACADEMY, U.S. MILITARY ACADEMY AT WEST POINT, U.S. NAVAL ACADEMY, U.S. COAST GUARD ACADEMY, & RESERVE OFFICERS’ TRAINING CORPS (ROTC).

ADMISSION REPRESENTATIVES FROM ALL OF THESE U.S. SERVICE ACADEMIES WILL BE PRESENT AT SOUTH CHARLESTON HIGH SCHOOL THIS SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 17th 2016 FROM 2:00-4:00 P.M.

Senior Tux and Drape Pictures

Senior Tux and Drape pictures will be taken during 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th period on Monday, Sept. 19.

Make-up pictures for any student that didn't get their picture taken on the 1st day of school will be on Monday, Sept. 19 during 1st and 2nd period.

iPad Insurance

Its not to late to sign up for iPad insurance. Please pick up a form from the Office or Lab 110 to get covered. It can save you a lot of money on a Lost, Stolen, or Damaged iPad. Better to have it and not need it... than need it and not have it.

Prom

Any junior who is interested in helping with this year's prom should come to room 215 this Wednesday, Sept. 7th for a meeting during anchor. Let's work together to make this prom even better than last!

Home Internet Issues

The issues with students logging in from home look to be fixed at this time.

ATT&T hotspots and Satellite internet connections are not supported for logging in from home.

I am removing the INTERNET ACCESS App from all student iPads.

Students will only use the HOME ACCESS App to connect from home.

Please be sure to inform students that report issues that their Username and Password to login from home are the same as their computer login at school.

Please reply to this email thread with any students still having issues connecting from home.

Week of 9/6/16

Students we have 462 gold passes this week which is a record.  Our goal for the 1st semester is 450 so keep up the good work in the classroom.
The anchor lookup form has been redesign to email you your anchor assignments when grades get pull.  If you have previously submitted the form you should be receiving an email Tuesday morning.  If you have not submitted an anchor lookup form this year we suggest you do so at this time  bit.ly/Anchor1617.  Remember it is up to each student to know what his/her anchor assignment is weekly.

Student Section Update

We have changed our meeting location for the student section to in front of the commons at 6pm for tonight's game.  We will not be meeting at city park pavilion.

No Gold Pass Release Today

This is a reminder, that due to the pep rally, gold pass students will not be released early today 9/2/16.

2nd Round of Homecoming Voting

The 2nd Round of Homecoming voting is now open at bit.ly/NHSHomecoming1617B

Students have until the end of school on Friday to vote.

The top three seniors are attendants and other 3 winners are class attendants.
