Attention Seniors

Attention Seniors: a financial aid workshop will be held next Monday Sept 26th at 6:00 pm in the NHS Auditorium. A representative from the WV Higher Ed Policy Commission will be on hand to discuss grants, loans, scholarships, and the new FAFSA. This is important information that you don't want to miss!

Senior Video

The first senior video meeting will be this Friday, Sept. 23 is Ms. Grant's and Mrs. Petry's rooms during anchor. Any senior wanting to help or contribute ideas needs to be in attendance.

The NHS Volleyball Team (Varisty and JV) play tonight at 5:00 and 6:00 in a Tri-Match against Winfield and Hoover-Make your way to games tonight and support the Wildcats!

Wildcat 5K

It's time to register for our Wildcat 5K! This event will be held Saturday, October 1st to end our Homecoming Week. All registrants receive a free T-Shirt and awards will be given to the top 3 Male and Female overall finishers, Top Male and Female from each age group and participants in the Kids Fun Run will receive Ribbons.
Registration and Packet Pickup is from 7:30-8:45am and a race start time at 9:00 am sharp at the football field!
Proceeds from this race benefit the NHS Track and XC programs! Register online today for a reduced rate. Paper registrations are available in the office. I hope to see you there!

Tailgate Party

On September 23, 2016, the Show Choir will be hosting a Tailgate Party before the Mingo Central Football Game. Time will be from 5:00 to 6:30 in front of the Commons at Nitro High School. Menu includes 2 Hotdogs, Chips, Dessert, and a Drink for $5.00. Corn hole, music, and other games provided. Funnel Cakes, Slushies, Fried Cheese Sticks, Deep Fried Oreos, and Deep Fried Twinkies will also be sold. Tickets can be purchased by any Showcat, Sophisticat, or from room B126.
Please come out and have a great time with your fellow classmates while we prepare to cheer on the Wildcats.

DECA

 DECA is the business organization that seeks to prepare emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe. Our first meeting of the year will be this Thursday, September 15th during Anchor in room 106A. If you are enrolled in a business class and are interested in learning more about DECA, please join us!

Wildcat Enterprises Meeting

Wildcat Enterprises Meeting: All students, with Gold Passes, in a Business Department Simulated Workplace class at Nitro High School (Marketing 2, Accounting 2, BCA 2, Digital Imaging 2, and Web Page Publishing) must attend a meeting this Wednesday during Anchor Block in the Auditorium. All 2016-2017 Business Completers must also attend this meeting. If you are not sure if you are a Completer, please check with your business teacher. If you are on gold pass, you are expected to be at this company-wide meeting.
