Soccer games postponed
The boys and girls soccer games against Hurricane have been postponed. The boys soccer team needs to report to coach Eich's classroom at 5:30 for film today.
We are working on make up dates for both games.

Rock 105's Rock the House Vote post by Cathy Harless
Alright Nitronians it's time to Rock the Vote!! Go to Rock 105 and cast your vote for the Nitro vs Ripley game this Friday night! If we win then 105 will broadcast live from our game. So vote and vote often! Put Nitro on the radio Friday!!! (Pass this on please!!)
Friday's Football Game
Friday will be a Pink Out in observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The person who wears the most Pink will win a free meal deal from the Student Council Concession Stand Friday during the Ripley vs Nitro game.

PSAT - $15 due by Friday, October 9 - See your counselor
Any 10th or 11th grade student can sign up for the PSAT. Cost is $15, payable to Nitro High School, and due by by October 9 to Mr. Hayhurst. The test will be given on Wednesday, October 14th at 8:00 AM. 11th grade students who take this exam will be automatically screened for the national Merit Scholarship program.
Rho Kappa Social Studies Honor Society Applications
Any Junior or Senior interested in becoming a member of Rho Kappa Social Studies Honor Society, please see Mrs. Simpson or Ms. Chandler for an application. Applications are due back to Mrs. Simpson or Ms. Chandler by Friday, October 2nd.
PSAT
Any sophomore or junior wanting to take the PSAT on October 15th needs to see Mr. Hayhurts in counseling center by Friday Oct 9. The cost is $15.
