Congratulations to the Nitro Band! The band performed at 2
competitions on Saturday. The band received 3rd place percussion
& 2nd place flags at Marshall University. The band also
performed at WV State for the Cavalcade of Bands festival and received the
following awards in the yankee class: 1st place percussion, 1st
place drum major, 1st place flags, 1st place band
overall. Out of 13 bands, Nitro was 1st runner up Grand Champion
overall!
Cheeseburgers, French fries, and peas for lunch on 10/20.
2014-2015 yearbooks are on sale now until October 31st.
$65 is the cost in room 109.
Starting this week NHS will be collecting candy for the City
Halloween Hoedown. Candy will be collected in every 8th period and at
the end of the week, the class who collects the most bags will win free
slushies! Help out the city of Nitro, and don’t forget your candy.
Key club members, please continue to bring in candy corn!
Key club members dues are due to Mrs. Gordon by Friday 10/24.
Please bring them to her any time in room 201.
