Sharing Time for Life's Hurts
Sharing Time for Life's Hurts is a time for us to come together and share things in our life that is a struggle to deal with alone. Whether you have an illness in the family, lost a loved one, worried about someone that you care about, or just want to be among Wildcats sharing stories of life's difficult times. We will meet Monday, February 8th in the auditorium. Grab your lunch and then come and join us.

SENIORS!! THERE IS STILL A SEAT LEFT FOR YOU ON THE TRIP TO CEDAR POINT ON FRIDAY, MAY 13TH! This will be the last official day that your class will be together, don’t miss out on the fun and memories. Financial Aid Workshop
FAFSA Workshop will be held this Wednesday, February 3rd from 5-7 in room 110. Experts will be on hand to assist with filling out and answering any questions regarding the FAFSA.
Winter Formal Refund
Any student that would like a refund for their winter formal ticket needs to bring a brief written statement and their receipt to Ms. Harless.

Winter Formal Postponed
With the forecast for heavy snow this weekend and the cancellation of school on Friday, we have decided to postpone Winter Formal. Our make up date is Saturday, February 6th.
Winter Sports Meet the Team Canceled
Due to inclement weather the Winter Sports Meet the Team scheduled for Sunday Jan. 24 will be cancelled. We are yet to receive any money from the teams when we receive this we will have happy to refund the money back to the ticket buyers.

National Honor Society GPA Eligible Candidates
The Nitro High School students who have meet the GPA eligibility to start the process for consideration into the Nitro High School Chapter of National Honor Society have been posted on every bulletin board in the school and outside Ms. Grant's room, B101.
Those students whose names are listed meet the academic eligibility requirement (3.75 weighted or 3.5 unweighted overall GPA) for consideration for induction into the Nitro High School Chapter of the National Honor Society. Those students need to pick up a packet from Ms. Grant during the anchor meeting today or from room B101 during lab. The information packet must be completed and submitted to Ms. Grant by Friday, February 12, 2016, no later than 3:00 pm. An explanation of the packet will be given during anchor on January 20. Packets are also being mailed home to guardians with an explanation letter attached.
Absolutely NO late applications will be accepted for any reason.

Winter Formal Announcement
Important Winter Formal Announcement: The NHS Administration has received a number of questions regarding the status of Winter Formal. We are monitoring all weather reports and will wait to see how the weather transpires. Cancelling is not the primary choice, so we have procured a make up date on February 6th, if needed; however, we will make a final announcement no later than Saturday at 9am. If road conditions are too treacherous and we feel as though the safety of our students is at risk we will move to Feb. 6th; as always, safety of our students is paramount. We will use a ParentLink call and post to the schools Twitter to keep you updated.

Seniors a second bus has been secured, and there are still seats available for the trip to Cedar Point on May 13th. Anyone who has not signed up to go, needs to see Mrs. Douglas as soon as possible.
