Track athletes need to report to the track on Wednesday, April 26th at 3pm for practice.

Prom

 Prom is Next Weekend! Make sure to get your prom tickets before May 4th. See Mrs. Kerber in room 215 during anchor, lab, or 1st lunch. Price is currently $35 per ticket but goes up to $40 on the 27th! Also, make sure to get the dance contracts in to Mrs. Kerber or you will not be permitted to attend the dance.

Prom is in need of white/clear Christmas lights. Please, if you have any we could borrow, please make sure to bring them to Mrs. Kerber or Miss Neva by May 4th. Thank you!

Talent Show Tickets

Talent Show tickets will be on sale during lunch Wednesday.  The cost will be $2.  We will dismiss students with tickets to the gym starting at 1:30.  We will not be going to mandatory help tomorrow.

Showcats

What do Lenny Kravitz, Kevin Costner, Jake Gyllenhaal, Tina Fey, Walter Payton, Ashton Kutcher and Amy Adams have in common? They all were in their High School Show Choir when they were in high school. On April 25- 28 you will have the opportunity to join the ranks of the many who made the choice to also be a part of this award winning tradition in their school. On April 25-27 there will be a workshop from 4:00-6:00 to show you exactly what to do. On Friday April 28, show up at 3:00 with your favorite song, and sing whatever you want. Our goal is to put 50 on stage in ShowCats and 44 in SophistiCats. Come out and help us make this happen. All parts are needed, both male and female.

Dinner Theater

The 18th Annual Show Choir Dinner Theater will take place on Sunday, April 23rd, at Beni Kedem Temple in Charleston. Show Times are 1:00, 3:30, and 6:00. Tickets prices are $18.00, and will include Baked Steak, Mashed Potatoes and gravy, Green Beans, Tossed Salad, Hot Rolls, Drink, and Dessert. Our biggest Silent Auction to date will be yours for the bidding, with a special Mother's Day Boutique for kids. Tickets are on sale now from any ShowCat or SophistiCat member, or from Ms. Amy in the choir room.

Talent Show Participants

Anyone who is wanting to participate in Wednesday's Talent Show need to attend tomorrow's meeting. The meeting will be tomorrow during anchor period in Mrs. Kerber's room (215) during Anchor.

Senior Video and Yearbook Announcements

This week is the last chance to buy your yearbook. See Ms. Grant in B101 or go online to order. Friday at noon will be the last day you can purchase this awesome book, don't miss out, it's going to be awesome!!

After Prom

Nitro High School After Prom tickets are on sale for $10. You must be registered by 4/21 to guarantee you receive the specially designed favors. After Prom is an all night lock in that everyone is eligible to attend. Don't miss out on all the fun, see Mrs. Douglas to sign up. Tickets at the door will be $20.

Attention Seniors

Attention all seniors! Community service MUST be logged with Mr. Shamblin by this Friday April 7th in order to receive credit for graduation. Forms are available in room 204.

Blood Drive and Student Council

Spring Blood Drive will be April 18th from 8 to 2 in the NHS Gym. Sign-up in Room 209 or see Mrs Harless to register. Nitro needs 52 good units of blood in order to give three scholarships to outgoing Seniors. Give blood today and save a life tomorrow.

 Student Council officers need to see Mrs Harless sometime before the end of the week. Please stop by her room as soon as possible for some very important information and instructions.
