 Anyone interested in running cross country next year, there will be a meeting Friday during Anchor in the gym.

Key Club, AP Lit and Cheerleading Announcements

 Mrs. Gordon needs to see Key Club.

Any student that signed up for AP lit for next school year, needs to report to Mrs. Gordon's anchor today Wednesday 5/17.

The Cheerleading Parent Meeting scheduled for tonight is being moved to Friday, May 19th 6:00

All students taking AP Environmental Science next year need to see Mrs. Crawford in room 207 to get their summer assignment.

Dance Team

Dance Team members that have failed to return all of their dance equipment have been added to the debt list.

Announcements 5/9/17

Their will be a mandatory national honor society meeting on Thursday May 11th during anchor in Mr. Shamblin's room. All members must attend!

Business Completers from 2016 and 2017 will meet in Mrs. Marshall's room on Wednesday, May 10th during Anchor to celebrate your accomplishments. Please join us!

DECA will meet as a whole group one last time on Thursday, May 11th in Mrs. Marshall's room during Anchor. Please join us as we celebrate the end of a fabulous 2016-2017 DECA season. The officer selection process for next school year will begin and officers will be named prior to the end of school.

All seniors will need to report by 7:30am on Thursday, May 11th in the auditorium. You will need to have your KCS issued iPad, charging block and charging cord.

If you submitted actual photos for the Senior Slide Show please pick them up in Room 108 from Mrs. Warner as soon as possible.

Important Senior Announcement

Senior we have placed a list of senior names as they will appear in the graduation program on the 2 main hallway bulletin boards.  Please check the spelling and notify Mrs. Elkins before noon on Monday May 8th if your name is spelling incorrectly.

Showcats

The ShowCats Show Choir is on an active search for 10 more boys to complete their 2018 roster. A tryout will take place on Tuesday May 9, 2017 at 3:30 in the choir room. This will be for any boy who is interested in auditioning. Our goal is to have a group with 25 boys. We would like to compete at Show Choir Nationals in Nashville, TN in the Spring of 2018 but cannot do so without more men. See Ms. Amy for details in Baker 126 or any ShowCat member.

Dance Team Meeting

 There will be an informational parent meeting for anyone interested in trying out for the 2017-2018 Dance Team on Tuesday, May 16th at 6pm in the Commons.

ShowCats

The Nitro ShowCats are in need of 10 more men to complete their roster for the 2018 competition season. We are making plans to travel to Nashville TN to compete at Show Choir Nationals next year, but cannot do this without atleast 20-25 gentlemen. An audition will be held on Tuesday, May 9th at 3:15 to audition any new members. We are also looking for 2 trumpets, 2 trombones, 2 saxes, an electric guitar player, a pianist, and a synth player. Please consider being a part of this outstanding, winning tradition at Nitro High School.

Dance Team

Dance Team members need to return to Mrs. Barr all of their dance team equipment by Thursday, May 4th. Failure to return all of your equipment, will result in being added to the debt list.

Clothing Drive

 Key Club is holding a clothing drive for the YWCA May 1-12. Please bring all donations to Mrs. Gordon in room 201. (Please No undergarments or swim wear).
